Arizona Adventurous Elopement

This intimate Sedona elopement will have you running to google flights to recreate this day for your own wedding. Paul and Alyx knew they wanted to have just the two of them celebrate their elopement and decided to make it a full adventure. Although they even celebrated with a reception later with friends and family, their elopement day was full of love.

Their day started by getting ready in the fabulous southwestern Airbnb together.

After they were ready, it was time for their first look! Check out Paul putting the finishing touches on his personal vows for Alyx.

After their first look, we took some couples portraits around the area the Airbnb was. The whole neighborhod was crawling with views, and amazing flora and fauna.

Paul and Alyx chose to have an elopement with just the two of them, but still wanted to include family in their day. They Facetimed their family before heading out to their ceremony and everyone was so excited to be part of their day. It was a great idea to make sure others have a moment to congratulate you, while still having a day where you are solely focused on you and your partner.

Then it was adventuring time! We piled in the car and set out to their trailhead. We spent months debating where the ceremony would take place, and eventually narrowed it down to just a few trailheads. The night before, we decided last minute to pivot due to weather and accessibility. So glad we did- the photos turned out amazing and Alyx was able to hike in her dress and hiking boots without any issue! She looked pretty cool doing it too.

The views were gorgeous everywhere we looked. Many people were stopping them to say congratulations, and it was nice to not feel rushed and take the hike at our own pace.

When we made it to the to top of the hike, the views were incredible and we had this spot all to our selves!

In the evening, their officiant met them at the spot they picked out and they began their ceremony. It was awesome to have a priavet ceremony in nature, and take in the beautiful scenery around them. From the dreamy canyon formations, to the quiet desert wind in the air, everything about their ceremony was absolutely magical. They both had hand written vows for each other. The golden sun was beginning to set as they were pronounced husband and wife!

They even brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate with!

Then it was time for their celebration in the desert! We headed to a remote location out in the desert of Sedona to meet up with their personal chef and have specialized 4 course dinner under the stars. They had their first dance as the moon rose, and enjoyed a fireside dessert after playing their favorite game, cribbage, in the tent.

All in all, it was the most dreamy day that went seamlessly. From driving around in their jeep, to hiking leisurely in their wedding attire, to their first dance under the stars, the entire day was adventurous, non traditional and full of love. 10/10 would recommend running away to Sedona to elope! You could even have a celebration back home later, just like Paul and Alyx did.
